Host Organization: The Carter Center & Election Reformers Network

When: May 26, 2021, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (ET)

Availability: Closed-door

The Roundtable will bring together a small number of experts and organizations (including representatives from ERN) working on issues related to election reform in the United States, as well as organizations which have observed U.S. elections or which support electoral reform efforts internationally. The two-hour session will include short opening presentations from two international election observation missions and two domestic organizations that have proposed reforms following the 2020 US elections.  Participants will then engage in a facilitated discussion about: (1) how recommendations can be translated into action; and (2) how we can work together to better ensure that the United States lives up to international standards for elections.  The roundtable will not be open to the public and will be held under the Chatham House Rule to promote frank and open discussion.
