ERN Vice President of Programs Heather Balas Briefs Congressional Staffers on Fair Rules Fair Maps Initiative to End Gerrymandering

On September 10, ERN Vice President Heather Balas delivered a comprehensive presentation to a packed room of congressional staffers on how partisan gerrymandering can leave millions of voters without meaningful electoral competition.

“The practice is unethical and unAmerican,” she told the audience.

Alongside leaders from the Problem Solvers Caucus and Issue One, Heather urged staffers to take the data back to their bosses as Congress considers the bipartisan reform package.

Because stopping an arms race is hard.
