ERN launches innovative training for election officials

In January 2026, ERN’s Vice President of Programs, Heather Balas, led an ethics and scenario-planning training for more than 100 local election officials in Colorado. Developed in partnership with The Elections Group, the training focused on real-world challenges and practical responses, including how to address to pressure from members of one’s own political party and how to navigate the complexities of administering elections while appearing on the ballot.
